Solar Service Technician

Location: Rochester, NY
Description:

• Oversee the operations and maintenance of Utility Scale and large DG/ Community Scale Ground Mount Solar and Battery Storage projects across the area.
• Troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining solar panels, inverters, combiner boxes and anything else necessary to keep the solar system functioning at its maximum capacity.
• Ensure proper troubleshooting solutions and create preventative measures to ensure longevity of the site
• You will also support junior technicians and provide electrical subject matter expertise on Solar projects

Travel: Need to be able to travel and be on the road as needed (within the specified area)
Qualifications (Must haves):

• Experience maintaining and troubleshooting existing Utility Scale Solar or C&I Solar systems
• Experience leading a team or helping developing younger technicians
• Experience doing QA/QC (Quality Assurance/ Quality Control)
• Journeyman Electrician License or Master Electrician License (not an Apprenticeship)
• Valid driver’s license

Salary: $70,000 to $115,000 + yearly performance bonus

**PLEASE NOTE: This is NOT an installer role. This is a technician role troubleshooting utility scale projects that are already in operations, not residential. You MUST have a Journeyman Electrical license or Master Electrician license to be eligible for consideration.
