We are seeking an experienced Survey Manager to oversee large-scale civil construction stakeout projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in surveying, project management, and team leadership.
Responsibilities:
• Read and interpret contract plans
• Perform and review technical survey calculations for field use
• Ensure accuracy and compliance with project plans and specifications
• Plan and execute boundary, topographic, or construction surveys
• Manage survey crews, equipment, and data collection processes
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
• Develop and maintain accurate records, maps, and databases
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders
• Utilize industry-standard software and hardware, such as AutoCAD, Trimble, or Leica
• Provide expert advice and guidance on survey-related matters
• Prepare detailed reports, proposals, and cost estimates
Required Qualifications:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in surveying and project management
• Proficiency with surveying equipment and software (e.g., GPS, Total Stations, CAD)
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred
• Professional Land Surveyor or Professional Engineer license preferred
