Senior Electrical Engineer with 10+ years of experience to join our team, playing a crucial role in designing and optimizing electrical systems. Our project types include commercial offices, adaptive reuse, resiliency centers, multi-family residential mixed-use, educational, data centers, aviation, microgrids, labs, and industrial facilities.

Your responsibilities include:
● Led the design and development of electrical systems, service sizes, and
distribution for new and retrofit building projects.
● Develop reports, SLD, and specifications to document calculations, electrical design
work, etc.
● Provide early consulting during concept, schematic, etc., design to provide service
size for utility coordination with owner and architect.
● Oversee and review electrical design documents, specifications, analysis, and 
coordination of electrical loads with equipment, incoming services, and
calculations to ensure they meet project requirements and industry standards.
● Collaborate with engineering and design teams to integrate electrical systems
with other building systems and achieve holistic sustainability goals.
● Client communication: presenting technical reports and slide decks for both
technical & C-Suite Audiences and proposals to clients and stakeholders.
● Stay current with industry trends, technologies, best practices, and code
requirements.
● Provide technical support during the construction and commissioning phases to ensure that electrical systems meet design intent and performance criteria.
● Coordinate electrical system design, room sizing, integration of M&P loads, etc. With architects and other consultants.
● Be a continuous advocate for sustainability, high-performance design,
decarbonization, and electrification, asPoint Energy Innovations.
● Client relations, marketing, and business development.
● Develop and generate technical papers, attend and present at speaking events, outreach, etc.
● Training, mentoring, quality control/quality assurance of work.

Qualifications:

● Minimum Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Optional Master's Degree.
● 10+ years of experience in electrical system design
● Proficiency in electrical design software and sustainability assessment tools
(e.g., AutoCAD, EnergyPlus, Helioscope, Energy ToolBase, etc.).
● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and develop practical solutions.
● Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work
effectively within a team and with external partners.
● Proficient in Microsoft and Google Suites.
● Strong research and organizational skills.
