Company Overview: We're currently seeking an
Assistant Project Manager to support the Project Management team and help keep projects on time, on budget, and running smoothly.
Position Summary: As an Assistant Project Manager, you will work directly with Project Managers and field supervisors to help oversee commercial drywall and framing projects from pre-construction through completion. You’ll assist with estimating, scheduling, procurement, submittals, and coordination — and play a key role in maintaining project documentation and communication.
Plexxis Software experience is required, as this is the primary project management and accounting platform used.
Key Responsibilities: - Assist Project Managers in coordinating all phases of drywall and framing projects
- Create and maintain project schedules, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and meeting minutes
- Monitor and track material procurement, deliveries, and subcontractor performance
- Conduct site visits and field coordination with Superintendents and Foremen
- Review and process subcontractor invoices and internal cost tracking
- Maintain and update project documentation using Plexxis
- Communicate effectively with vendors, GC teams, and internal departments
- Ensure compliance with project specs, safety standards, and company policies
Qualifications: - 1–3 years of construction experience (drywall/framing preferred)
- Proficiency with Plexxis Software (mandatory)
- Understanding of commercial construction documents and schedules
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Effective communication and time management skills
- Ability to multitask and adapt to a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for site visits
